SILVER BAY INN – TRAVEL TIPS & INFO

  Getting to Stehekin -Stehekin is accessible by boat or plane. (see the map page for details) Lady of the Lake Boat Co. 509-682-2224 ( Lady II – 4 hrs, Lady Express- 2hrs, Lady Cat - 1hr) Chelan Airways 509-682-5555 (Departs from Chelan, approx. 40 min scenic flight)The Tour Boat (Gordon Commack) 509-682-8287 ( caters to individual schedules) Private Boats - Call the Forest Service for info – 509-682-2549

  Arrival in Stehekin- The Silver Bay Inn provides transportation for the arrival and departure of guests at approx 12:30 pm when the Lady of the Lake II arrives in Stehekin. Look for a Mazda mini-van with the Silver Bay Inn logo. If you arrive by plane, private boat or Lady Cat at a time later than 12:30 pm, we will pick you up for a $10 charge. Check out time is 10:00 am.

   Activities - Bikes, canoes, rowboats, hot tub, croquet and bonfire areas complimentary for guests. Kayak rentals $10 per hr. Seasonal activities: river rafting and horse trips (800-536-0745 to reserve). Mountain bikes can be rented from www.discoverybikes.com. A valley shuttle bus operates most of the summer (pick up at the end of our lane) Fishing licenses and info should be obtained before arriving in Stehekin. Hiking info on North Cascades National Park website. Bird watching and star-gazing excellent at Silver Bay either from your hammock or deck chairs.

  Food - The Ranch picks our guests up at the end of our lane for dinners, the Bakery is approx. 3 blocks from end of our lane and is happy to make special occasion cakes, pies, etc., and the Landing restaurant is a 10 minute bike ride or a little over 1 mile from the Silver Bay Inn. If you plan to cook, bring food in boxes, coolers or plastic bins (grocery items limited in Stehekin). Safeway (509-682-2615) and Chelan Market will box and send items on the boat for a small fee.

What to Bring - Depending on the season: beach towels, water bottles, backpack, mosquito repellant, flashlight, music and player, wind jacket and/or raincoat. (we do have umbrellas, water toys, books, games, etc.) Please no candles…thanks.

 A Cancellations or Changes in Reservation – VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW . Cancellation less thandays written notice ( email: stehekin@silverbayinn.com) will be refunded if/when the dates have filled, less the $50 cancellation/change fee. You may want to consider getting trip insurance.

We cannot accommodate more than 4 people in each cabin because of septic restrictions

No smoking in cabins or pets. Silver Bay Inn grounds & amenities for registered guests only.
